Statement: I work mainly in precious metals, designing and making jewellery to commission as well as making pieces for exhibitions and galleries. Designs are influenced by natural forms or by the theme of an exhibition or commission with which I may be involved. Colour may be introduced through the use of stones or different materials such as wood, plastic or mixed metals. I am aware of trends in fashion andbelieve in making reference to these in my designs for jewellery while trying to maintain the highest standards of workmanship in their production. This will usually involve traditional silversmithing techniques, which have a long and intriguing history.
